SSI International Understanding Day

What a late post.This event was held on last Saturday.1st of August.
Thanks to Zhi Yu that only she’ll inviting me and have to pay for 12 bucks!Lol.
That time she asked me.Phyliss,do you want to go for our school’s IU Day?I just tell her,ok have to depends on my mum.Because only she can fetch me!I asked for her permission and the answer is I can and that time lots of my friends text me.Are you sure you’re going?I’ll go too.Got some just say,I missed the chance.I shall meet you another time.Remember to take picture with them!ok ok.Really long time dint see them.All my friends!
It’s Saturday.Waited for so damn long.Change into Interact T-Shirt(but is MC’s IU Day shirt,Kinda like free advertise MC!).I think still got 3 more hours k.The event starts on 1:30pm and ends on 6pm.But that time ,I reached town was like only 11pm.Just ate laksa with my mum and my mum just say go earlier and wait there.I reached Hokkien Hall(venue)Around 12pm.So have to wait.
I stepped into the hall and met lots of my friends.Got lots of friends kinda shock.OMG,Phyliss!It’s you.I almost cant recognize you!(Did i change a lot?)Some say more boylish but got some said wow feminine dy.Lol.Different people different opinion!Just chat a lot with Jaslyn.She’s more prettier and really looks like her mother.And she said I really changed a lot and I speak kinda fluent in English.Still remember that time I used to speak Chinese with her and She replied me in English and I said,I teach you Chinese and you teach me English.Now time flies.She still that smart and I can speak English with her.Hah.*proud proud*
And Su Yi thought I’m her sister friend.Lol.It’s ok.2 and a half years she dint see me.
Ya.Their theme.France!Only one theme.But really nice for decoration.well organization.Yup,Is really good.And the mascot.Melissa Wong!Dint get one of her picture.
The show started around 2 pm.Wait for the Rotarians.As always,Rotarians will give a speech,then teacher advisor.The President-Kenji.Then the presentation of the souvenirs.The show start.But I forget the arrangement of the event so I just say it out what I remember k?Drama by Othniel,Cheryl,Cristiano,Suhanya,Izzat and Su Yi.Othniel as the Tourist,Cheryl as the Tour Guide,Cristiano as the Eiffel Tower,Suhanya as the Phantom,Su Yi the waitress and Izzat the Violinist.Opening Act really nice and have a happy ending, the tourist and the tour guide got together.Lol

French traditiona dance by Alton,Su Yi,Grace,Zhi Yu,Suhanya,Cheryl and forget got who.And there’s also another dance by Ainun Sofea,Su Yi, Cheryl, Suhanya,Sharpay Alisa.Then Ballet by Kee Hui Yee and one of her friend(don’t really know how to spell her name out).Yahoo,got Fashion Show by Yvonne,Cheryl,Su Yi,Suhanya,Kai Xin and Xing Jie.Did I miss anybody?Haha.I’m absent-minded.
I love the song.My heart will go on in French.Performed by Jaslyn Gan Ju-lia!Is really nice.Although at first got some technical problems but she still can continue.Still searching who got record the video.Lol.
Break time.Woah,their theme is French but the food is from Italian.Guess what?Is Spaghetti with coldslaw and garlic bread.Is really worth.The food is nice and with honeydew and watermelon.Hah.A cup of orange juice.Ya.Thanks Alton for giving me watermelon(but actually I cant eat more than one piece).Yup for sure Raymond for the bread and Milo.I’m not hungry but still thanks ya.You walked to esso and brought it.Hee.
The band performance time.ut the whole hall just left less than half.But im still there to support my friend!One Week Chasing.Raymond,Yi Ling,Eak Kuan,Bernice and one guy(don’t know his name).Perform homecoming and The climb!Hee.I’ll support you guys.Good JOB!
Is really a nice day.It ends before 6pm.But I don’t know why told my mum 6:30pm.Called her but she dint pick up.Haha.Its ok.Just take picture with others.Dont force me.

Single sex schools vs co-ed schools

Hey everyone,I'm back!I cant really online in Johor so Maybe I'll late reply your Comments or anything!SORRY!

Some say that all-girls' schools provide superiour learning environments to co-ed schools while others think that they are restricting. The quality of education depends on the individual schools, so the differences can be shown mostly in the characters of the students. Keep in mind that I've only been to one of each in one month, and this is only my view of things.

I did not like my co-ed school very much, particularly the students. The girls were so intent in their gossip sessions that they forgot about the class going on. They also spent a lot of time preening for the guys, but trying to make it look like they were ignoring them. The guys, meanwhile, were too busy cracking dirty jokes to notice. Yet, the guys remained the determining factor in daily dilemmas. In other words, I've seen a lot of the "Britney Spears" attitude- "I don't care what I have to lose, but I have to be thin and popular". I'm not saying that most people will get breast implants, but I've seen some pretty pathetic lunches. The guys encourage this Britney-esque behaviour by pining after the same Barbie-like girl. She's thin, pretty, and she doesn't need to have a personality.

Studies have shown that boys get more attention than girls in co-ed schools when it comes to important areas like math and sciences. Generally, girls are said to be afraid of speaking in class because they might get teased.

However, girls in a co-ed environment are more skilled at living in a mixed environment. They interact with guys on a daily basis, so they are more accustomed to their behaviour.

The girls in my new school do talk, but they're not oblivious to what's going on around them. They're usually quiet once the class starts, and try to do well. Marks are a definite priority, and being smart is considered a really good thing. Of course, there are exceptions, but not many.

Also, the girls I know in all-girls schools are usually more self-confident than their co-ed counterparts. They tend to have higher academic expectations and have formed closer bonds with their class-mates. Girls in co-ed schools are more catty and seem to be in perpetual competition with each other for the benefit of the guys.

I'm not saying that guys are horrible beasts, or that all-girl environments are for everyone. I do like guys, but I find that the environment in an all-girls' school is much more conducive to learning. I know quite a few people who don't like the no-guys aspect, and a lot more who could never stand it. However, maybe sacrifices must be made for something as important as education.
